Chris Martin sent wishes to Indians on the occasion of 76th Republic Day during their mega show in Ahmedabad.

Coldplay’s lead singer Chris Martin greeted his Indian fans in Hindi on Sunday, January 26, during the British band’s mega show in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. He also sent wishes to Indians on the occasion of India’s 76th Republic Day and thanked everyone for the warm welcome in the “beautiful country”.
“Namaste aap sabhi ko jo humko live stream pe dekh rahe hain (Namaste to everyone watching us on the live stream)”, he said, as quoted by India Today.
“Hello everybody, I see you all and you look so beautiful. I see you all the way up there in the top stand. Thank you for being here. We welcome you all. Waving the Indian flag on Republic Day, that’s beautiful. Thank you all so much for making the effort to come to this show. I know it’s difficult to come here with the traffic, hotels and the ticket queues and all the bulls**t you had to go through. Thank you for making the efforts to give us this amazing day. Thank you for welcoming us to your beautiful country and thank you for letting us play for India,” the singer added.
“We’re having the best time here. We’re so grateful to you all. Many of you have made signs. So, forgive me if I don’t read all your signs. But, I’ll try and read some of them,” he stated.
During the performance, Coldplay also touched many hearts by singing the patriotic anthem “Vande Mataram”.
Coldplay is in India as a part of their globally acclaimed Music of the Spheres World Tour. The British band held two shows in Ahmedabad, whereas two more were held in Mumbai. In Ahmedabad, they performed at the Narendra Modi Stadium whereas in Mumbai they set the stage on fire at Navi Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium. Fans who did not get a chance to watch Coldplay’s concert in Ahmedabad on January 26 were also able to watch it live on Disney+ Hotstar.
