Former Union Minister and senior Congress leader Chinta Mohan alleged severe financial disparities in the Narendra Modi government, stating that Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Scheduled Tribes (STs), despite forming 25 per cent of the population, receive only one per cent of bank loans, while Other Backward Classes (OBCs), who constitute 50 per cent, get just two per cent. He claimed that 75 per cent of the country’s wealth is in the hands of Gujarat-based businessmen.

Addressing a press conference in Kuppam on Saturday, Chinta Mohan condemned the neglect of Andhra Pradesh’s backward districts, blaming the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) government of focusing ₹60,000 crore on Amaravati, while ignoring regions like Kurnool, Prakasam, and Srikakulam. He faulted Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for the utter neglect of Kuppam Assembly constituency and his home district Chittoor, despite serving as the Chief Minister for 14 years.

Claiming the Congress as the only upcoming alternative, he observed that that the people of Andhra Pradesh were vexed with the TDP-BJP alliance.
