Chhaava Box Office Collection Day 11: Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava continues its victorious run at the box office, showing no signs of slowing down in its second week. The period drama, directed by Laxman Utekar, has struck a chord with audiences, raking in impressive numbers even on weekdays.
According to early estimates from Sacnilk, Chhaava collected Rs 18 crore net on its second Monday, pushing its total domestic earnings to Rs 344.75 crore. Over the second weekend, the film amassed Rs 44 crore on Saturday and Rs 40 crore on Sunday. With a stellar Rs 31 crore opening on February 14 and a strong first-week total of Rs 219.25 crore, the film has firmly established itself as a box-office juggernaut.
The movie’s Hindi version recorded an average occupancy of 20.22% on Monday, with evening shows drawing the highest turnout at 25.78%. Given its consistent performance, Chhaava is on track to surpass the Rs 350 crore mark in the coming days.
A grand historical epic, Chhaava brings to life the inspiring story of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the eldest son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Vicky Kaushal delivers a power-packed performance as the legendary Maratha warrior, while Rashmika Mandanna portrays his wife, Yesubai Bhonsale. The film also features Akshaye Khanna, Ashutosh Rana, and Divya Dutta in key roles.
Overwhelmed by the film’s success, Vicky recently took to Instagram to express his gratitude. Sharing a heartfelt note, he wrote, “No more an ‘Unsung’ Hero! Thank you everyone… Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj ki Jai.”
Chhaava has not only won over audiences but has also received praise from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Speaking at the 98th Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan at Vigyan Bhavan in Delhi, the PM acknowledged the film’s impact, saying, “Ye Maharashtra aur Mumbai hi hai jisne Marathi filmo ke saath saath, Hindi cinema ko ye unchai di hai. Aur in dino toh, Chhaava ki dhoom machi hui hai.”
