BRS demands white paper on Davos investments

HYDERABAD

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader Manne Krishank has demanded the Telangana government release a white paper on the investments claimed to have been secured during Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s visit to Davos.

Speaking to newspersons here on Friday, Mr. Krishank alleged that the Chief Minister had reduced the high-profile visit into an exercise to make false claims. The Chief Minister must explain to the people of the State how many of the agreements signed last year at the same venue (Davos) have become a reality.

The government had announced investments to the tune of ₹40,000 crore last year, but none of them had materialised so far. He pointed out that when in Opposition, Mr. Revanth Reddy had dismissed Davos investments, claiming they had benefited companies and not the people.

Agreements with companies/groups such as Adani, JSW and Godi India announced during the previous year’s visit to Davos remained only on paper till date, the BRS leader said adding that Deputy Chief Minister M. Bhatti Vikramarka had himself termed them ‘expressions of interest’.
