Khushi Kapoor comes from a massive family of Bollywood stars. She is the daughter of ace producer Boney Kapoor and the late legendary actress Sridevi. Her sister is Janhvi Kapoor and she’s also related to Anil Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor. As such, who does she turn to when she needs career advice?

Khushi Kapoor told SCREEN, “I find it strange to do anything without getting the approval of my dad. I do follow my instinct but the last say will be his. There are times he does not like my opinion but I feel comfortable when we are all on the same page regarding everything.”

In the same conversation, Khushi also opened up about how being a star kid equips you to deal with criticism. “People had a certain impression of me even before they saw me on screen or heard me speak. You learn how to deal with criticism, comments and opinions about yourself. I have been hearing it (criticisms) since I was fairly small,” she said.

Does Khushi feel the pressure to succeed, being a star kid? She said, “When we started the promotions (Loveyapa), I felt the pressure. By now, I have spoken about it so many times that now I no longer feel the weight of it. Now, I want to see where it (this journey) takes me.”

Khushi Kapoor will now make her big screen debut in Loveyapa with Junaid Khan. Loveyapa is a fresh take on Gen-Z relationships, blending romance with comedy. The plot revolves around a humorous challenge set by the lead characters’ parents, where Gaurav and Baani must exchange their phones for a day to prove their trust before deciding to marry.

In addition to Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor, the film features a stellar cast including Grusha Kapoor, Ashutosh Rana, Tanvika Parlikar, Kiku Sharda, and Kunj Anand. Directed by Advait Chandan and backed by Phantom Studios and AGS Entertainment, Loveyapa is set for a worldwide release by Zee Studios on February 7, 2025.

Before the upcoming rom-com, Khushi was seen in The Archies, co-starring Suhana Khan, Agastya Nanda, Vedang Raina and a few others. The film, directed by Zoya Akhtar, was released on Netflix and earned mixed responses from the audience. As for Junaid, Aamir Khan’s son was last seen in Maharaj alongside Shalini Pandey, Jaideep Ahlawat and Sharvari.
