The police on Wednesday conducted a search at the Thiruvananthapuram Central railway station following a bomb threat.
The threat was received on the police’s FB Messenger.
The bomb squad and the dog squad were pressed into service. However, nothing suspicious was detected during the search by the police, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law and Order 2) said.
The search was over, the DCP said, adding that further action was being taken.
The DCP declined to comment on where the message originated from. The investigation is in a preliminary stage. It had to be probed whether the message was a hoax, he said.
