Jisoo has been keeping busy and not just with her music. After much anticipation, BLACKPINK’s beloved vocalist made a dazzling solo debut on February 14 with Amortage, a mini-album that quickly became the talk of the town. The title track, Earthquake, has been turning heads, revealing a fresh, bold side of Jisoo. But with great attention comes unwarranted scrutiny. As she juggled promotions for her album alongside her ongoing K-Drama projects, February 19 saw her making back-to-back radio show appearances. Her first stop was Park Myung Soo’s show, where she arrived bundled up in a warm, laid-back ensemble, just the thing for the chilly weather.

Later that day, she made another appearance on Red Velvet Wendy’s Youngstreet radio program, a viewable broadcast where fans could watch her in real time. Once again, she opted for a comfortable, cosy outfit, staying true to her signature preference for relaxed fashion.

However, not everyone appreciated her practical wardrobe choices. According to Koraboo, a post titled “Jisoo’s outfit is really bad…” surfaced online, attracting nearly 1,70,000 views. The poster shared images from both radio stops, seemingly unimpressed with her casual style. But Jisoo’s fans weren’t about to let the criticism slide. Social media users swiftly rallied behind her, questioning why her clothing choices should even be up for debate. Many pointed out that she should be free to wear whatever she pleases, brushing off the negativity as unnecessary nitpicking.

“She looks comfortable, and it’s nice. Let’s have our country’s female idols try dressing comfortably like that instead of just for show,” wrote a fan. “You don’t have to wear all your fashions like you’re going to the airport, lol; it’s a radio schedule, so just let it go,” wrote another one. “Those who are naturally pretty wear simple clothes,” read a comment.

Meanwhile, Jisoo’s solo career continues to flourish. She’s the latest BLACKPINK member to step into the spotlight with her own music, following Rosé’s December release of Rosie. With Jennie and Lisa’s solo projects still in the works, Jisoo set the stage for her era with Amortage, a name that reflects a “montage of love.” The mini-album features four tracks: Earthquake, Your Love, Tears and Hugs & Kisses.

In a recent Billboard News interview, Jisoo got candid about her music, love, and even her admiration for pop icon Britney Spears. She also discussed Your Love, the romantic track from her new album, giving fans a glimpse into the emotions behind her latest work.

Unfazed by the noise, Jisoo continues to focus on what truly matters – her music, her fans, and simply being herself.
