BLACKPINK’s Rose and Bruno Mars’ Collab track APT is shattering one record at a time. Extending the streak, the music video for the smashing hit crossed another milestone as it officially surpassed 1.2 billion views on YouTube on February 26. What further adds to the achievement is that it took just over 131 days and eight hours to hit the mark, becoming the fastest music video by an Asian artist to surpass 1.2 billion views on the video streaming platform, according to Billboard.

In another remarkable achievement, APT has also become the fifth fastest music video ever to reach the milestone, only after Luis Fonsi’s Despacito featuring Daddy Yankee, Ed Sheeran’s Shape of You, Adele’s Hello, and J Balvin and Willy William’s Mi Gente.

BLACKPINK’s Rose and Bruno Mars’ record-breaking track has the whole world grooving to its catchy melody, funky music and memorable lyrics. The visually appealing music video only adds to the song’s popularity, even making it a strong contender for Grammy Awards 2026, at least as per the social media buzz. Recently, netizens on X predicted that the 2026 Grammys will also include BLACKPINK’s Rose and Bruno Mars alongside Kendrick Lamar, Bad Bunny and Lady Gaga. They believe that APT will also be a contender at the 2026 Grammy Awards and might secure a nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

The songs eligible for the 2026 Grammys should be released between September 1, 2024 to August 30, 2025. Given the APT’s release date on October 18, 2024, it qualifies to make it in the upcoming awards and the mere possibility of the song to be in the nominations has BLACKPINK fans and Rose’s supporters buzzing with excitement.

BLACKPINK’s Rose and Bruno Mars’ song narrates a lively night of partying, perfectly capturing the exciting energy of spontaneous adventures. The song, lasting 2 minutes and 53 seconds, blends BLACKPINK Rosé’s unique vocals with Bruno Mars’ signature style, making for a delightful mix. As for the music video, it showcases both the music sensations in a garage band setting. Dressed in matching black leather jackets against a baby-pink backdrop, the duo set the mood for the party.
