Telangana BJP has decided to take the Union Budget proposals closer to the people by taking up an extensive publicity and public contact programme by top leaders, including party president and Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy, fellow Cabinet colleague Jyotiraditya Scindia, Minister of State Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Rajya Sabha MP K. Laxman, national women’s president Vanathi Srinivasan, AP party president Purandeshwari and others, on Tuesday.

A four-member panel was constituted to prepare the roadmap for the programme consisting of party vice president G. Manohar Reddy, former MP Dr. B. Narsaiah Goud, State secretary S. Prakash Reddy and official spokesman S. Srinivas for the publicity blitzkrieg from February 12 to February 23 on Tuesday.

The members met at the State office to discuss the modalities of the programme in the presence of general secretaries K. Venkateshwarlu, G. Premender Reddy and others. It was decided to contact prominent citizens, trade and industrial associations, farmers, workers and other sections to impress upon them the salient features to propel the economy providing opportunities for new investments, encouraging entrepreneurship, employment generation and agriculture development. Hoardings, power point presentations, public meetings and media meets are also part of the process, said an official spokesman in a press release.

Tributes to Deen Dayal

Earlier in the day, the party has observed its idealogue Deen Dayal Upadhyaya’s ‘Sacrifice Day’ with leaders paying floral tributes to his portrait and recalling his contribution and his suspicious death at Mughalsarai railway station on this day in 1968. The Modi government has been diligently following the ideals of Upadhyaya in providing a clean administration. The recently presented Union Budget proposals will ensure growth and welfare, claimed senior leader N. Ramchander Rao and others.

Condemns attack

Mr. Kishan Reddy and Mahabubnagar MP D.K. Aruna joined other party leaders in strongly condemning the attack on Chilkur Balaji Temple’s chief priest Rangarajan and demanded the government take stringent action against the perpetrators functioning under the garb of a religious sect.
