Bhumi Pednekar and Rajkummar Rao’s 2022 film Badhaai Do clocked three years today, February 11. Directed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni, the romantic comedy struck the right chords with the masses for its heartfelt portrayal of LGBTQ+ relationships. Infused with excellent comic timing and powerful performances, the movie was a hit. On Badhaai Do’s third anniversary, Bhumi Pednekar turned emotional as she dropped some behind-the-scenes glimpses from the film on her Instagram Stories. The clip was originally posted by the actress herself on Badhaai Do’s 1st anniversary in 2023.
The clip opens with a film scene where Bhumi Pednekar and Rajkummar Rao’s characters are seen discussing something at the dining table. Suddenly, Rajkummar burps prompting a laugh from his co-star. Sheeba Chaddha and Seema Pahwa seem amused. Bhumi also offered sneak peeks into what went into the making of Badhaai Do.
On par with juggling hectic schedules, the film team engaged in banters and light-hearted moments. Some iconic dialogues are featured in the video as well alongside a few popular songs and dance sequences. The clip also includes ample snippets of fans and critics heaping praise on Badhaai Do. It ends with Bhumi Pednekar and Rajkummar Rao showing off their awards.

Badhaai Do revolves around two homosexual individuals, Shardul Thakur and Suman Singh, who enter a sham marriage to appease their families. However, things go awry when Suman’s girlfriend moves in with them. Badhaai Do also stars Chum Darang, Gulshan Devaiah, Deepak Arora and Loveleen Mishra in key roles.
Earlier today, Chum Darang also celebrated Badhaai Do completing 3 years by uploading a slew of BTS snaps. Her side note read, “Three years since Badhaai Do, and I couldn’t be prouder of the impact we made with this incredible film. This project will always hold a special place in my heart, not just for the story we told but for my own personal growth through it.” The Bigg Boss 18 participants also gave a sweet shoutout to the cast and crew members.
Speaking about Bhumi Pednekar, she will next be seen in Mere Husband Ki Biwi. Arjun Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh are also a part of the cast.
