Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Roshan will chair a meeting of Belagavi City Corporation (BCC) employees to sort out apparent differences between some employees and Commissioner B. Shubha.

This follows a complaint by some employees to the district in-charge Minister Satish Jarkiholi that the Commissioner had transferred some employees arbitrarily. The Minister instructed Mr. Roshan to intervene and resolve the issue.

While the employees complained to the Minister saying that Ms. Shubha had transferred 46 BCC employees arbitrarily. The Commissioner has denied the allegations saying that she had shifted 20 employees from one department to another in the Belagavi office and that all assignments were as per rules. She told reporters in Belagavi on Friday that she had prepared a list of 46 employees who had served in the same position for the longest period. As many as 20 long-serving employees have been reassigned from one department to another. It is in the interest of the corporation and helpful for their career growth. Some employees have been shifted between departments and there has been shuffling of employees between the office and the field. There has been no violation. I have intimated the Minister about it, she said.
