Comedian Samay Raina has been embroiled in a controversy ever since YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia’s remarks on his show India’s Got Latent went viral. Amid the row, many celebrities came out in support of Samay and Ranveer. Rapper Badshah, who appeared on the show a few months ago, has also backed Samay Raina. The rapper recently performed at Parul University in Vadodara, Gujarat, and towards the end of the concert, he shouted ‘Free Samay Raina’, leaving the audience cheering.

A video that has surfaced on social media shows Badshah addressing the crowd towards the end of his concert at Parul University. “I love you Parul University. Thank you so much. Free Samay Raina,” he said. The audience went berserk as he mentioned Samay Raina, amid the ongoing India’s Got Latent controversy. A netizen who shared the video on social media, wrote in a post, “Ain’t no way Badshah said “Free Samay Raina” at the end of the concert! LFG!!!” The social media user then went on to post the video clip. Check it out below!

For the unversed, Badshah appeared as a guest on one of the episodes of Samay Raina hosted India’s Got Latent. They have also collaborated for the music video of ‘Baawe’ along with Raftaar.

Samay Raina Deletes All Videos Of India’s Got Latent From YouTube Channel

Meanwhile, amid the controversy, Samay Raina issued a statement in which he mentioned that everything that has been happening, has been too much for him to handle. He also shared that all India’s Got Latent videos were removed from his channel.

“Everything that is happening has been too much for me to handle. I have removed all Indias Got Latent videos from my channel. My only objective was to make people laugh and have a good time. I will fully cooperate with all agencies to ensure their inquiries are concluded fairly. Thank you,” he wrote on social media.

The controversy began when Ranveer Allahbadia appeared on Samay Raina’s India’s Got Latent and made a controversial joke on ‘parental sex’ that went viral. The influencer was seen asking a contestant, “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once and stop it forever.”

A police complaint was lodged against Ranveer, Samay and other co-judges present on the episode, including Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh and Apoorva Makhija.
