Following the enthralling show, Shankar Mahadevan is seen addressing the guests at the function as he shares that neither he nor B Praak rehearsed for the performance.
Last night saw a collaboration that we did see coming. B Praak and Shankar Mahadevan came together to perform at a wedding in Pune. The musician and singer created magic with their energetic performance at the function, leaving the crowd enthusiastic and joyous. A video featuring the two has now also surfaced online. In the clip, we can see both Praak and Mahadevan’s jugalbandi as they croon the song Mitwa from the film Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna.
Following the enthralling show, Shankar Mahadevan is also seen addressing the guests at the function as he shares that neither he nor B Praak rehearsed for the performance. The music legends were dressed in their best outfits to showcase their talent at the wedding. While Mahadevan wore an all-black indo-western outfit, Praak looked handsome in a red printed shirt with black formal pants. The camaraderie was evident as they both also hugged each other at the end of the clip.
Before this, Shankar Mahadevan made headlines for his interaction with The New Indian. During the conversation, he revealed that Amitabh Bachchan played a pivotal role during the creation of the iconic song Kajra Re for the film Bunty Aur Babli. “Bachchan sir used to come to the studio, hang out with us, and he would jam with us. It was Bachchan sir’s idea to have the ‘dhin dhinak dhin’… the idea of this vocal jugalbandi came from him. Because the song used to start with ‘Mera chain vain sab ujda.’ He said, ‘Let’s have a little vocal jugalbandi before that.’ I did that in five minutes, and he was very happy with that. The idea was his contribution”, he reminisced.
On the other hand, B Praak, known for his soulful hits like Mann Bhareya and Ranjha, continues to dominate the music scene with his unique vocal chords and impressive talent. The singer also maintains a close bond with the Ambani family and was seen performing at Anant Ambani’s pre-wedding bash in Mumbai followed by the family’s Ganpati celebration on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.
The family celebrated the religious festival at the Ambani household, Antilia, with many notable stars from the industry in attendance. A big pooja was hosted at the residence. Several singers arrived to perform, adding a touch of spiritual music to the festive occasion.
