The Maddock Horror Comedy Universe has announced an intriguing lineup for the following years, raising fan expectations to new heights. The next installment in the franchise, Thama, features Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna in a bloody love story. Thama is a gripping vampire story and is expected to provide a never-before-seen experience. To add to the excitement, Ayushmann recently released a breathtaking behind-the-scenes photo from a night shoot, which captivated admirers with its fascinating vibe.
Ayushmann Khurrana shared Thama’s night shot photograph on his Instagram stories which depicts a village-like location, with a rustic hut surrounded by woods and illuminated by several lights, creating an enchanting ambiance for filming. Reportedly, Thama’s second schedule began in Delhi in January and was expected to run through mid-January. The team completed a short schedule in Mumbai late last year.
The film is directed by Aditya Sarpotdar who also helmed Munjya under the same production house. Apart from Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, the film features Paresh Rawal and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Thama, written by Niren Bhatt, Suresh Mathew and Arun Fulara, and produced by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik, promises an extraordinary mystical experience. The film combines horror, humor and a deeply twisted love story, and is slated to be released on Diwali in 2025. To add to the hype, Kartik Aaryan’s highly anticipated project with Sreeleela, directed by Anurag Kashyap is scheduled for a Diwali 2025 release. This has undoubtedly set up an intense box-office rivalry with Ayushmann Khurrana’s upcoming horror comedy.
Kartik Aaryan debuts his highly awaited love drama, co-starring Sreeleela and directed by the famous Anurag Basu. In addition to Thama, the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe is developing a number of films, including Shakti Shalini, Bhediya 2, Chamunda, Stree 3, Maha Munjya, Pehla Mahayudh and Doosara Mahayudh.
On the professional front, Ayushmann Khurrana is preparing for an untitled espionage comedy produced by Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment, in which he will co-star with Sara Ali Khan and will be directed by Aakash Kaushik. Additionally, he has been cast in Sooraj Barjatya’s highly anticipated family drama, according to Pinkvilla. Meanwhile, Rashmika Mandanna recently gave a standout performance in the mega-hit Pushpa 2, alongside Allu Arjun and Fahadh Faasil. She was also seen opposite Vicky Kaushal in Chhaava.
