Pakistani singer Atif Aslam recently performed live at a concert in Dubai, and a video from the show is going viral on social media. The singer performed the iconic song ‘Dil Se Re’ from Shah Rukh Khan and Manisha Koirala’s 1998 film ‘Dil Se’, and it was a mesmerizing experience for the audience who was left spellbound with his rendition.
Atif Aslam took to his Instagram account to share a video from last night’s concert in Dubai, in which he is seen delivering a powerful performance on ‘Dil Se’. The song, composed by AR Rahman, is originally sung by Rahman, Annupamaa Krishnaswami, Anuradha Sriram, Febi Mani, and still remains one of the most celebrated tracks even years later. Atif’s performance to this song picturised on Shah Rukh Khan left the audience in awe. When Atif Aslam Revealed He Had Recorded Gerua Song For Shah Rukh Khan
In 2015, Shah Rukh Khan was quoted saying that Atif Aslam was first approached for the song ‘Gerua’ from his film ‘Dilwale’. However, SRK said that he did not have time for him. In an interview with BBC in 2021, Atif said that he had recorded the song and sent it to King Khan’s team but it wasn’t conveyed to the actor. He then shared a message for Shah Rukh, saying that he would love to sing for the actor any day. Gerua was sung by singers Arijit Singh and Antara Mitra.
