The State government has given approval to a proposal to develop and beautify the Jodi Kere, twin lakes, in Athani of Belagavi district. It will be taken up at a cost of ₹15 crore.
The proposal by the Athani Town Municipal Council was approved by the State Cabinet on January 30. It will help turn the water bodies into tourist attractions, MLA Laxman Savadi said in a release.
