Ahmedabad, Jan 25: Assam Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah led a high-profile Investor Roadshow in Ahmedabad on Friday, promoting the state’s investment potential ahead of the Advantage Assam 2.0: Investment and Infrastructure Summit, set to be held in Guwahati on February 25-26, 2025.

Minister Baruah addressed over 230 investors, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders, highlighting Assam’s strategic position as India’s gateway to Southeast Asia and its robust infrastructure, including road, rail, and air connectivity. He emphasized key sectors such as oil, natural gas, tea, agriculture, and green energy as prime areas for investment.

The Minister also showcased the Assam government’s business-friendly initiatives, including tailored incentives and policies designed to facilitate investment. He highlighted Assam’s thriving tourism sector, driven by its rich biodiversity and cultural heritage, and pointed to growing industrial projects like the Tata Semiconductor initiative as examples of the state’s industrial potential.

“The Advantage Assam 2.0 Summit, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, will establish Assam as a premier investment and industrial hub. This roadshow in Ahmedabad is a crucial step in forging strategic partnerships,” said Minister Baruah.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from over 230 leading investors and industry experts, reinforcing confidence in Assam’s growing business ecosystem. The upcoming summit is expected to enhance industrial and trade relations, attracting global investments to drive Assam’s economic growth.

Among the dignitaries present were FICCI Gujarat Council Chairman Rajiv Gandhi and senior Assam government officials, including Gyanendra Tripathi, Dr. S. Lakhsmanan, and Virendra Mittal.
