The team behind Metro… In Dino confirmed the film’s release is on track for 2025, despite delay rumors. Directed by Anurag Basu, it stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan and an ensemble cast.

Amid rumours of another possible delay in the release of Metro… In Dino, the film’s team issued a statement clearing the air. The makers released a statement, confirming that the post-production is on track and there will be no further delays in the film’s release.
Rumours were rife that after pushing the release date from 2024, Metro… In Dino might undergo another change in the release date. Though they didn’t put a date to it, an official note from T-Series confirmed that the film will release this year. “On the contrary to some media reports claiming that Metro In Dino is getting pushed, we confirm the movie is releasing this year in 2025,” read the statement.
Recently, an ETimes report suggested that Metro… In Dino release might be pushed to 2026 with Basu shifting his focus to his next project, Aashiqui 3, starring Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela. With no updates on his urban anthology drama, the teaser announcement for Aashiqui 3 left netizens guessing about Basu’s priority project.
Metro… In Dino boasts an ensemble cast starring Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sensharma, Ali Fazal, and Fatima Sana Shaikh.
Anurag Basu recently spoke about directing yet another multi-starrer. He told Zoom, “It was great. It was as fun as… It was a huge responsibility because I thought that the old Metro (Life In A Metro) would be forgotten by people. People won’t remember it that much. But as soon as I started making it, people’s expectations went through social media. So, the expectations are really high. I hope I deliver in this film and we had good fun shooting it.”
