Anjini Dhawan, Varun Dhawan’s niece, spoke about working with Salman Khan in Sikandar. Directed by AR Murugadoss, the film is set for release on Eid 2025.
Anjini Dhawan will share screen space with Salman Khan in Sikandar.
The teaser of Salman Khan’s much-awaited film, Sikandar, was unveiled on Thursday, February 27. The film also stars Anjini Dhawan, Varun Dhawan’s niece, in a key role. After the teaser release, Anjini spoke about working with Bollywood’s Bhaijaan. She also shared behind-the-scenes (BTS) updates from the film, adding that Salman would treat the cast and crew to food cooked by his personal chef.
Talking about her experience of working with Salman, Anjini said, “It was literally a pinch-me moment! I’ve been such a big fan, and then to be working with him [Salman Khan] was so special.”
While the film’s teaser was all about action, drama and intensity, the behind-the-scenes story was rather different. The entire cast and crew would bond over their shared love for food. So much so, that the film’s team would often be treated to food that came from Salman’s home. “Special memories were everyone bonding over the tasty food Salman sir’s chef made for us every day,” Anjini added with palpable excitement.
Salman Khan’s Sikandar teaser was the talk of the town on Thursday. The superstar was seen beating and killing goons with his usual swag and panache. Quite typical of Salman films, his one liners such as “Insaaf nahi, saaf karne aaya hoon”, became highlights of the video. It also featured Rashmika Mandanna in her first collaboration with Salman. The teaser, which has already raked in 65 million views on YouTube, also gives fans a much-needed sneak peek into their chemistry. Watch the teaser of Sikandar here:
Sikander is helmed by AR Murugadoss, known for films such as Ghajini and Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty. The film also stars Sharman Joshi and Sathyaraj in pivotal roles. The film’s cinematography is by S Thirunavukkarasu, music is composed by Pritam, and action choreography is by Kevin Kumar.
Backed by Sajid Naidadwala, it is slated for release on Eid 2025.
