The State government will soon deposit ₹20,000 into the accounts of each farmer in the State as financial assistance under Annadata Sukhibhava scheme, including the Centre’s minimum income support of ₹6,000 under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, says former Agriculture Minister and Sarvepalli MLA Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy.
He inaugurated Kisan Mela organised at NG Ranga University in Nellore on Friday. He visited all the stalls set up by both the government and the private organisations. He said that all agriculture-related schemes, which were being implemented at the national-level, were now made available again in Andhra Pradesh.
Mr. Chandramohan Reddy said, “The State government is paying special attention on farmers. The Agriculture and Irrigation Departments, which were weakened by the previous government, are being revived today. Within 48 hours of paddy procurement from the farmers, the cash is being deposited directly into their accounts.”
