Contrary to his claim, India triumphed in the high-stakes ICC Champions Trophy 2025 clash, prompting actor Aly Goni to join the online banter with a sharp-witted dig.
Just hours before the match, IIT Baba confidently declared that India would lose and Virat Kohli would fail to perform. In a viral video, he stated, “Main tumko pehle se bol raha hu, is baar India nahi jeetegi. Virat Kohli… sabko bol do ki aaj jitke dikhaye. Ab maine mana kar diya hai ke nahi jeetegi to nahi jeetegi. However, after India’s emphatic six-wicket victory, led by an unbeaten century from Virat Kohli, Aly Goni took to X (formerly Twitter) to poke fun at IIT Baba’s failed prophecy. He tweeted, “Yeh IIT Baba ka career Virat ne shuru hone se pehle hi khatam kar diya” (Virat ended IIT Baba’s career before it even began.)
