Alia Bhatt’s security head, Yusuf Ibrahim, has been in the limelight since he opened up about how their security staff manages our favourite celebs’ biggest life events and daily activities to ensure complete protection. In a new interview with Zoom, Yusuf reflected on his relationship with the paparazzi who capture the actors’ everyday movements.
Yusuf, “The time when I started my security work, all these popular paparazzi were doing groundwork at that time. We all used to work together only. Now, they have become big but we have a certain comfort level with each other.”
The security consultant added, “If I need help and I am backstage, I call them directly to tell their teams on the fields to follow my instructions and cooperate with me once I come out with the star. This works for both of us. They get their pictures, and I can do my work for security concerns. So, we have a mutual understanding.”
When asked how the paps react when an actor is spotted leaving a party in high spirits, he shared, “Paps are doing their jobs. They have to get something and give it to the public; they make money out of it. We do our work of securing them and getting them seated in the car safely, which we manage easily. When we request them to stay away a bit and not capture certain things, they cooperate with us; there’s no problem in that.”
Yusuf Ibrahim is a popular security consultant in the Bollywood circle. He has been in charge of Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan’s security since they began their careers with Student Of The Year. Yusuf has also protected stars like Shah Rukh Khan and Ranbir Kapoor.
In a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan on his YouTube channel, Yusuf Ibrahim was asked about the challenges of protecting a celebrity, especially on occasions like weddings. Yusuf called Alia and Ranbir’s wedding one of his most challenging assignments. He recalled that hundreds of people gathered at the couple’s Pali Hill residence to catch a glimpse of their wedding. He mentioned that over 350 media personnel were stationed outside Alia’s wedding venue and that it was very difficult to deal with the crowd.
