Abhay Verma has created a name for himself in the entertainment world with his successful horror comedy Munjya and his sincere performance in Ae Watan Mere Watan alongside Sara Ali Khan. The actor was recently seen in Pehla Nasha 2.0, a reimagination of the classic song from 1992’s Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander featuring Aamir Khan and Ayesha Jhulka. Discussing the same, he participated in an interview with Meta along with his co-star from the song Pragati Nagpal. The 26-year-old actor dropped special moments from the same for his Instafam.
Sharing the series of pictures and videos, Abhay wrote, “Merry Meta Day.” The images featured the actor posing in the studio. One of them also saw him fixing Pragati’s makeup during the interview. The Munjya actor looked dapper in a red leather jacket that he layered over a maroon sweater. He paired these with white trousers and sneakers for a trendy look.
The pictures soon caught the attention of Abhay’s fans. Reacting to them, one of them wrote, “It’s Abhay’s world and we are just living in it.” Another said, “You look so handsome.” Many other fans dropped hearts and fire emojis.
Talking about his latest song, Abhay Verma said during an interview with news agency IANS that Pehla Nasha 2.0 was his tribute to Aamir Khan whom he considers his ‘idol’. He said, “Pehla Nasha has been like a love language for me. It’s an ode to my idol Aamir sir in my own little way. It was an absolute honour to recreate what these legends had done in a responsible and respectful way and I feel more than fortunate to present this tribute as the face of the song.”
Pehla Nasha 2.0 is composed by Amaal Mallik and sung by Armaan Malik and Pragati Nagpal. The lyrics are penned by Rashmi Virag.
Further on the work front, recent reports suggest that Abhay Verma will be sharing the screen with Shanaya Kapoor for Shujaat Saudagar’s next project. Filmfare has reported that the upcoming film would be a love story set in Goa and its shoot would begin in March.
