Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan often travels in an auto rickshaw in Mumbai, and he recently opened up about it, revealing that he finds it very convenient. Now, in another conversation, his Loveyapa co-star and comedian Aaditya Kulshreshth recalled that Junaid once travelled in a local train to reach Bandra, after wrapping up the film’s shoot in Mira Road. Junaid also added to that, saying that while a car is usually sent for him, he felt opting for a train would be more practical, since there was traffic jam on the highway due to election counting.
While speaking on The Thugesh Show, Aaditya Kulshreshth said, “Ek din Mira Rad mein shoot khatam hua. Toh maine kaha Junaid bhai kaise jaa rahe ho? Kehte hain ‘apan sab chalte hain Bandra tak.’ Maine kaha ‘kaise?’ Bole ‘Train se.’ Maine kaha ‘kyu?’ Train se aaya ye aadmi ek baar Mira Road se Bandra. (One day, we wrapped up the shoot in Mira Road. So, I asked, ‘Junaid bhai, how are you going?’ He said, ‘Let us all travel to Bandra together.’ I asked, ‘How?’ He replied, ‘By train.’ I said, ‘Why?’ This guy travelled from Mira Road to Bandra by train),” he said.
Junaid Khan added to this, and said, “Production gaadi bhejti thi. Ek baar maine train li kyunki wo highway jam tha kuchh election ka counting chal raha tha. Maine train le liya. Kaun 3 ghanta baithega traffic mein? Main practical baat bol raha hu. (The production house sends a car. But once I took the train because the highway was jammed due to some election counting going on. I took the train. Who’s going to sit for 3 hours in traffic? I’m speaking practically).” Aaditya then joked, “Ye kaunsa Bollywood hai yaar? (What kind of a Bollywood is this?).”
Meanwhile, in a conversation with Farah Khan, Junaid was asked why he travels in a rickshaw. He said, “It’s very convenient.” He added that his parents have plenty of cars at home, and he can take one if needed, saying, “Ghar pe bahut saari gaadiyaan hai. Zarurat pade toh koi bhi le sakta hu.” Amused by his response, Farah quipped, “Yehi hota hai asli middle class hero humara.”
