Actors Aamir Khan and Ali Fazal had a face-off at the pickleball court on Saturday, for a special exhibition match at the World Pickleball League (WPBL). After the match, they interacted with the media. During the interaction, a media person called Aamir a ’60-year-old’, in response to which the superstar had a hilarious reaction! He humorously responded that age is just a number, and that for him, he is still 18. Aamir will turn 60 next month, on 14th March, 2025.
At the event, a media person told him, “Aamir ji aap 60 saal ke ho gaye. (Aamir ji, you have turned 60).” The actor seemed amused, and he replied, “Achha? Main toh bhool gaya tha, aap mujhe yaad dila rahe ho yaar khaamakhaa. Main 18 ka ho raha hu abhi. (Oh really? I had forgotten, and you’re reminding me unnecessarily. I’m still turning 18 right now).” Ali Fazal, who didn’t initially hear the question, was taken aback when Aamir repeated the question to him.
When told that he is ageing in reverse, Aamir Khan said, “Haa wohi meri koshish wohi hai. Age is a number, and for me it’s 18 (Yes, exactly, that’s my aim. Age is just a number, and for me, it’s 18).” Further, when asked about the pickleball game, he said that he really enjoys winning, to which Ali Fazal also agreed and said that he gave a tough competition. “Rula diya yaar mujhe court pe,” said Ali. Meanwhile, during the same interaction, Aamir was asked which sport he plays with his son Junaid Khan. “He used to play cricket a lot. Junaid plays football now. And at one time, when he was a kid, he used to play a lot of cricket,” he revealed.
The World Pickleball League semi-finals got an exciting twist as Ali Fazal and Aamir Khan hit the court and showcased their athletic side. The Bollywood stars went head-to-head, and they were joined by two players from the league during the match. A video from their pickleball match went viral on social media, and it showed the 3 Idiots co-stars engaging in friendly banter amidst the match.
