Sanya Malhotra is currently garnering praise for her performance in Mrs. Right from her debut in Dangal, Sanya Malhotra has constantly impressed fans with her performances. In a recent chat with Pinkvilla, Sanya opened up about how starring in Dangal with Aamir Khan greatly benefitted her career.
Sanya Malhotra said, “I mean, everyone works hard. But I believe getting the right opportunity at the right time is very important. Hard work is essential, but having the right opportunity at the right moment makes a difference. For me, Dangal was that opportunity. I truly believe that Dangal opened many doors in my career.
She said, “I have friends who are still trying to make it big. It’s not that they are working any less hard or that I did something extraordinary—it’s just about getting the right opportunity. If you don’t get that, how will you even move forward?”
She shared, “In my case, Dangal was my debut film, and because it was such a big project, things opened up for me. I am extremely grateful for all the opportunities that followed, and I have never taken my work lightly. I know that getting a debut like Dangal is rare, especially for someone from outside the industry.”
Meanwhile, Sanya Malhotra is basking in the success of her latest drama film, Mrs. Released on ZEE5, this Hindi remake of the Malayalam film The Great Indian Kitchen has been received well by the audience. Arati Kadav’s directorial Mrs. starring Sanya Malhotra has broken many records since its streaming on February 7. According to the OTT platform, by achieving the biggest opening on ZEE5 ever, this official adaptation of Jeo Baby’s film became the most searched Indian movie on Google as well.
Mrs. follows the story of Richa (played by Sanya Malhotra) who is a professional dancer instructor. However, because of societal expectations about her married life, she is limited to doing household duties and finds it difficult to follow her own passion. The film has received praise from critics and audiences for its compelling story, outstanding acting performance and emotional depth. Mrs. also stars actors Nishant Dahiya and Kanwaljit Singh in important roles.
