Aamir Khan starrer Ghajini is one of the most popular films and now reportedly the action thriller is getting a sequel. Yes, you are reading right. Recently, at an event producer Allu Aravind shared an exciting update on the film leaving fans super excited. The video has gone viral on social media.
Both Aamir and Allu Aravind were present at the event in Mumbai. Talking about the superstar, Aravind said, “I want to make a 1000 crore film with him.” Aamir said, “Definitely sir!” Soon, Aravind stated, “Maybe Ghajini 2!” Aamir added, “Sir, a lot of on the net is going around Ghajini 2.”The producer further laughed and said, “People started writing about it.”

In October 2024, Suriya shared, “Ghajini 2 was, actually, surprising that you asked me now. After a long time, Allu Aravind came up with that idea (for a sequel) and asked if that would be possible. I said definitely sir, we can think of it. Yes, the talk has started, the things are in process. Ghajini 2 might happen.”
A source told Pinkvilla, “With things going Pan India, remakes of cult films with popular stars are a thing of the past now. Both Suriya and Aamir Khan are excited by the idea of Ghajini 2, but don’t want the remake tag on their film. They are also concerned that the film arriving first will take away the novelty factor and conveyed their concerns to the producers. On hearing about both the actors, Allu Aravind and Madhu Mantena came up with a solution of shooting the two Ghajini films at the same time frame and bringing them to the big screen on the same day.”
Meanwhile, as the actor prepares for his upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par set for release in 2025, he’s also in talks with filmmakers to solidify his future projects. As per reports, Aamir Khan was already eyeing five projects and now has been approached by Anurag Basu for a biopic on Kishore Kumar. Aamir Khan was last seen in the 2022 film, Laal Singh Chhadha.
