After years of waiting, the hype train for One-Punch Man season 3 is finally rolling. Fans can rejoice as the much-anticipated third season of the hit anime has been given a release window, along with a thrilling first-look trailer. It’s been over six years since season 2 wrapped up in July 2019, making this update a long time coming. According to the latest update, One-Punch Man season 3 is set to premiere in October 2025, though an exact date remains under wraps. J.C.Staff is once again in charge of the animation and the newly released trailer offers a sneak peek at some of the series’ beloved characters, including Saitama, Genos, Tatsumaki, Fubuki, and more. Curiously, while the production staff list has been revealed, there’s still no official confirmation of the director’s identity.
The latest trailer, which runs for 1 minute and 3 seconds, is packed with familiar faces. Pig God, Child Emperor, Hellish Blizzard, Terrible Tornado, Caped Baldy (Saitama), Zombieman, Silver Fang, Atomic Samurai and King all make an appearance. Silver Fang’s scene is followed by a shift to Saitama, who declares, “That’s Unforgivable, especially since he hasn’t come for me yet.” He then adds, “When I find Garou, I will punch him.” The screen cuts to bold text reading, “The strongest will assemble.” Finally, a dramatic poster reveals, “Season 3 Coming Soon, October 2025.”

Behind the scenes, Tomohiro Suzuki returns to handle the series’ composition. Character designers Chikashi Kubota, Shinjiro Kuroda and Ryosuke Shirakawa are also back, alongside composer Makoto Miyazaki. Atsushi Fujishiro, one of the producers, recently provided an update on the series’ progress, reassuring fans that development is steadily moving forward. This comes after a somewhat cryptic comment from character designer Kubota, who hinted at “some problems” without offering further details, reports CBR.
One-Punch Man season 3 continues adapting the wildly popular manga created by ONE and illustrated by Yusuke Murata, serialised in Shueisha’s Tonari no Young Jump. Fans can expect the action-packed story to pick up right where it left off.
Crunchyroll, which streamed the previous two seasons, describes the anime as “Saitama started out being a hero just for fun. After three years of ‘special’ training, he became so powerful that he can defeat opponents with a single punch. Now, alongside Genos, his faithful cyborg disciple, Saitama is ready to begin his official duties as a professional hero working with the Hero Association. However, the frequency of monster appearances is surging and it increasingly appears as if the Great Seer Madame Shibabawa’s prediction about the Earth’s doom is coming true. In the midst of this crisis, the ‘hero hunter’ Garou makes his own appearance.”
With October 2025 on the horizon, the countdown to One-Punch Man’s epic return has officially begun.
