After the release of Mere Husband Ki Biwi alongside Arjun Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar, Rakul Preet Singh is gearing up for De De Pyaar De 2 with Ajay Devgn. Taking to her Instagram stories, Rakul mentioned that she has wrapped up the Patiatala schedule of the film.
On March 5, the Aiyaary actress posted a happy mirror selfie with her team from her vanity van. Making a victory sign and smiling with her team, she thanked her crew for their support, which helped her ‘sail through’ the shoot and expressed excitement about the upcoming film. She wrote, “And with that we come to an end of patiala schedule of #ddpd2. What an enriching and satisfying month. Yes, it was very cold and very hectic, but my team helped me sail through with ease. I can’t wait for you all to see the film and hopefully fall in love with Aisha all over again.”
Rakul seems to share a friendly bond with her team that goes beyond work. In another video shared by the actress, she could be seen hilariously pointing out that her team was asleep during work. Along the clip, she wrote, “While you all are enjoying Gori Hai Kalaiyan, here is what went behind the scenes. Aap batao, are they working hard or hardly working.”
The actress is set to reprise her role as Aisha in De De Pyaar De 2. Directed by Anshul Sharma, the romantic comedy will also feature R. Madhavan. While Tabu will not be returning to the film, Ajay Devgn will continue to lead. In the film, Madhavan would play Aisha’s father and the audience can expect some humorous tug of war between the two veteran actors.
Filmmaker Luv Ranjan’s production company, Luv Films, recently announced the release date of De De Pyaar De 2 on its social media platforms. In the caption, they mentioned that the dramedy would hit theatres on November 14.
At present, Rakul is occupied with a slew of exciting projects. Along with De De Pyaar De 2, the actress is gearing up for Ameeri alongside Neena Gupta and Simone Singh. The comedy film is expected to throw light on the class divide in society. There have also been rumors about her upcoming collaboration with Saif Ali Khan.
