Samay Raina deleted all ‘India’s Got Latent’ episodes after controversy over Ranveer Allahbadia’s remark led to FIRs.

Samay Raina is mired in a controversy regarding India’s Got Latent episode.

Following the controversy surrounding Ranveer Allahbadia’s remark on India’s Got Latent, which led to multiple FIRs against him and the show’s creators, Samay Raina decided to delete all episodes. In a recent conversation, YouTuber Shwetabh Gangwar revealed that he spoke with the comedian and discovered that he was feeling “scared and depressed.”

In a now-deleted video, Shwetabh said he had a phone call with his friend Samay during the controversy, and Samay sounded really upset. Shwetabh said, as quoted by the Free Press Journal, “Bhaisahab, toota hua hai vo insaan (He is a broken man). When the controversy first erupted, I could still see the old Samay in him, but when I spoke to him last time, I saw a broken man… depressed, sad, scared.”

He said he took a break from social media because he felt helpless and couldn’t support Samay during his tough time. “I was emotionally drained. I couldn’t see my friend like that,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court on Monday came down heavily on ‘comedian’ Samay Raina for speaking out about the ongoing controversy over his YouTube show ‘India’s Got Latent’, and said that the young generation thinks it is “oversmart” and “they know more”.

The top court’s remarks came while hearing a petition by YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, whose “watch your parents have sex” remark on Samay Raina’s show sparked massive outrage across the country.

“There are some people who are writing articles on free speech etc. We know how to handle them also. Every fundamental right is followed by duty. There are restrictions also,” Justice Surya Kant said. The judge noted that there was a commentary made on the case by one of the accused abroad. “One of them went to Canada and spoke about all of this .. These young and over smart ones think they know more,” Justice Kant said, Bar and Bench reported.
