Actor-producer Sundeep Kishan shared an update about Rajinikanth’s much-awaited film, Coolie. Kishan said that he watched around 45 minutes of the film and is certain it will collect Rs 1000 crore. Previously, rumours were rife that Kishan too, is a part of his friend Lokesh Kanagaraj’s film. However, he dismissed the rumours.
Sundeep Kishan was at the promotion of Mazaka when he spoke about Rajinikanth’s Coolie. He said, “I am not part of Coolie. I visited the set as Lokesh [Kanagaraj] is my friend and to witness Superstar Rajinikanth. I watched 45 minutes of the film, and it will collect Rs 1000 crore.”
That being said, Kishan also hinted that he is working with the filmmaker on a project, but can’t divulge anything about it. “I am not yet part of the LCU (Lokesh Cinematic Universe), but I am working on something with him. I can’t talk about it now, and I don’t know if it will come under LCU or not,” the Raayan actor said.
In January, Rajinikanth went to Thailand for Coolie shoot. Sharing an update on the film, Thalaiva disclosed that around 70 per cent of the film’s shooting is over and that the following schedule of the film was to take place from January 13 to January 28.
Coolie is touted to be an action thriller. It features an array of top stars from varied film industries including Telugu actor Nagarjuna, Kannada star Upendra, Soubin Shahir and Sathyaraj. Bollywood actor Aamir Khan is also believed to be playing a cameo in the film.
Apart from them, the film also features Shruti Haasan, Pooja Hegde, Rebe Monica John, and Junior MGR in pivotal roles. Music for the film is composed by Anirudh Ravichander and cinematography is by Girish Gangadharan. The film is being edited by Philomin Raj and produced by Kalanithi Maran’s Sun Pictures.
Coolie marks Rajinikanth’s 171st film. It’s a standalone film and isn’t a part of Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU). The film’s release date is yet to be announced.
