Singer Bebe Rexha seems in no mood to accept body-shaming! Known for strongly speaking out against online negativity and hitting back at body-shaming trolls, the I’m Good singer has done it again, giving a befitting response to an online user who mocked her weight gain, even targeting rapper-singer Lizzo. During her stay in Dubai, Rexha went live on Instagram to interact with her fans when one of them mockingly remarked that the singer looked like “Marilyn Monroe after she ate Lizzo.”
Rexha went on to read the particular comment in question, leaving others in the room surprised when she added, “Honestly, who cares? That’s a f—in’ hater, like, who’s bored with their life.” The singer called out the commenter, slamming the individual for hiding their profile picture on social media while mocking others. In the same TikTok video, Rexha even clarified that she wasn’t shading Lizzo and instead called her “amazing.”
The brief moment went instantly viral on social media, as many of her fans came forward to show support while others criticised the body-shamer. Following the experience, Rexha shared another video on her social media handles, addressing the situation and expressing how she feels unbothered about such comments. Mentioning that she was present in Dubai for an “amazing and beautiful” charity event, the singer spoke about her Instagram live session and the particular viral clip.
“You guys are very nice to me and very supportive as well. But I want to say a couple of things,” she said, further explaining that she is unbothered by the hateful comments about her weight gain and that she is aware of the same. “I know that people know my songs but don’t know me, and I haven’t gotten the recognition I deserved. But instead of letting it all break down, it has made me feel more powerful,” Rexha said. She also revealed working on new music and urged her fans to stop “feeling bad” about her.
Bebe Rexha posted a new TikTok about her recent livestream clip going viral. “Number one I am unbothered. Number two I’m very aware of everything, I know I gain weight… I know that people know my songs but don’t know me.. It’s actually make me feel more powerful” pic.twitter.com/bD5aadolE4

It is not the first time Rexha has spoken up about her physical appearance. Earlier, she discussed feeling “anxious” about attending the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards due to her weight. “I am so anxious and stressed about going on the red carpet and … people talking about my weight because I am not loving myself right now,” she said in a now-deleted video, as per Page Six. In the same year, the singer admitted to gaining 30 pounds after being diagnosed with PCOS.
