Amid Ranveer Allahbadia and Samay Raina’s controversy, comedy fans were reminded of Tanmay Bhat and Roshan Joshi’s legal troubles after their viral roast video. Some fans expected the comedy veterans to protest for Ranveer and Samay amid India’s Got Latent Row. In Tanmay Bhat’s recent video, a fan asked in the comments why he wasn’t ‘taking a stand’ for Samay.
Tanmay read the comment: ‘How come these people are not taking a stand for everything that’s happening?” Rohan Joshi, who was also part of the video, said, “We are literally here doing our job. What more stand do you need?”
Comedian Kaustubh said, “Aapko bol rahe hain. Aap the uske (Samay) godfather…” Piyush Sharma said, “They are expecting ki Tanmay bolega ki ‘Bete se pehle baap ke through jaana hoga.'” This left everyone on the panel in splits.
Finally, Tanmay addressed the question and said, “Whenever someone falls sick in your family, koi ajeeb bimari ho gayi toh you always remember, ‘Arre mere ek mamu the 7 saal pehle unko bhi yeh ho gaya tha.’ Phir tum unhe phone karte ho ki kaise hua tha. I am comedy’s patient zero.”
Later in the video, Tanmay reacted to a clip of Ranveer having fun on Samay Raina’s show and said, “Kitna khush tha yaar uss din.” Tanmay and the comedy panel then roasted the clip in a hilarious manner.
Previously, in another video, Tanmay had revealed that he had invited Ranveer to join him for a fitness meme reaction video before the drama unfolded. However, since then, Ranveer has gone silent and hasn’t replied to his messages. He said that just two weeks before the controversy, he had texted Ranveer to join him for a reaction video about fitness memes. He jokingly said, “Sun na, aake fitness memes pe react karte hai. Reply nahin kar raha hai ajkal. Pata nahi kya chal raha hai uske saath.” This left everyone in the panel in splits.
Meanwhile, Ranveer Allahbadia was questioned by Maharashtra Cyber officials on Monday for nearly two hours over the crass parental sex joke he made on comedian Samay Raina’s ‘India’s Got Latent’ show. As reported by NDTV, Allahbadia admitted his mistake during the questioning before the investigating officer and said that he had gone to the show because Samay Raina was his friend.
