MEOVV’s Gawon, aka Chloe Lee, has been gaining attention on the internet for an unexpected reason. Her recent appearance has caused a frenzy among her fans due to her uncanny resemblance to TWICE’s Jihyo. Previously, the rising 5th-generation K-pop idol was compared to RIIZE’s Anton, Sunmi and f(x)‘s Krystal, but her latest viral moment led fans to emphasise that she is Jihyo’s spitting image. Over the years, the TWICE member has gained popularity for her stunning visuals, even earning the title “God Jihyo.”
Recently, Gawon was spotted at the Incheon Airport as she was leaving for Milan Fashion Week to attend the Prada event. While she appeared a bit shy about her first-ever international solo schedule, it was her stunning visuals that truly captivated the hearts of her fans. Particularly, one set of images has stolen the limelight.
The fan-taken pictures showcased the side profile of the 19-year-old K-pop idol, where she could be seen directly looking into the camera. The post, shared on X on February 25, instantly blew up online, amassing over 1.4 million views. Fans could not help but notice the striking resemblance between her and TWICE’s Jihyo, with many even pointing out their similar eye shapes, sharp jawlines and even their noses. They even playfully termed the MEOVV member as Jihyo’s “daughter.” On the other hand, a section of online users also noticed that Gawon bore semblance to another TWICE member, that is Momo.
“She looks like Jihyo!!! Omg lemme stan!!!,” read a comment. Another fan said, “Now I can’t unsee.. the resemblance is so accurate.” Someone else wrote, “Wait, she looks like Mother Jihyo… I might stream their music and hold on.” A user penned, “If Momo and Jihyo had a child.”
Speaking of MEOVV’s Gawon, aka Lee Ga Won, she used to be a YG trainee before she made her debut under THE BLACK LABEL’s MEOVV. Prior to being an idol, the 19-year-old worked as a model and had been featured in Adidas ads. In September 2024, she, along with Sooin, Anna, Narin and Ella, debuted as MEOVV with their first single, MEOW. Then, they released two other singles titled Toxic and Body in the same year.
