Riddhima Kapoor Sahni defended her daughter Samara Sahni after a video showed the latter allegedly pushing Neetu Kapoor at Aadar Jain-Alekha Advani’s wedding.

Entrepreneur and Ranbir Kapoor’s sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni dressed to her best at cousin Aadar Jain and Alekha Advani’s wedding last week. Her daughter, Samara Sahni, too, posed with her for pictures before entering the wedding venue. However, one particular video caught everyone’s attention. In the clip, fans claimed Samara pushed her grandmother Neetu Kapoor when she joined her and Riddhima for a photo-op. The Fabulous Lives Vs Bollywood Wives star defended her daughter, claiming that the incident was blown out of proportion.
“The whole thing got blown out of proportion. The poor child was only trying to pose,” Riddhima told Hindustan Times. She further added, “She wasn’t upset. She was very excited, so much so that in the car she kept saying that, ‘Oh my God, I’m sure there are gonna be photographers and I’m gonna pose like this and that’. And because the paparazzi were asking us to come together, she just wanted to pose on her own. She didn’t push her nani.”
Riddhima said that Samara was taken aback by the online chaos. She recalled her daughter telling her that she was just trying to extend her arm to get comfortable while clicking pictures. Riddhima added that Samara never meant to push anyone.
She also shared how Samara is well aware of her public image. “‘The last time I was being goofy then also they [trolls] had a problem and now when I’m not doing anything they again have a problem’,” Riddhima recalled Samara’s exact words. She also said, “Kids these days are more aware about all these things. There’s so much exposure. However, my mother and I chat with her (Samara) every single day about it — the pros, cons, good, bad, ugly, so that it doesn’t affect her.”
Reportedly, Samara Sahni has decided to make her career in films, just like the maternal side of her family. Currently, she is completing her education.
