Honey Singh redefines Diljit Dosanjh’s iconic “Punjabi aa gaye oye” during his Millionaire India Tour, promoting unity among communities.

Honey Singh kicked off his Millionaire India Tour with a power-packed performance in Mumbai on Saturday. During the concert, the rapper put his own spin on Diljit Dosanjh’s iconic phrase, “Punjabi aa gaye oye,” emphasizing unity among communities.

Addressing the crowd, Honey Singh said, “We are all family, we are one. So, I won’t just say ‘Punjabi aa gaya oye.’ I’ll say, ‘Punjabi aa gaya oye, Marathi aa gaya oye, Gujarati aa gaya oye, Bihari aa gaya oye, Bangali aa gaya oye, Mallu aa gaya oye… we are one.'” His inclusive shoutout earned a roaring cheer from the audience.

Honey Singh and Diljit Dosanjh share a long-standing friendship, having collaborated for the first time in 2009 on the album The Next Level.

Meanwhile, videos from Honey Singh’s Mumbai concert have been making rounds on social media, including one where he seemingly took a jab at fellow rappers Badshah and Raftaar. Reflecting on past remarks about his comeback, Singh said, “Kayi log kehte hain ki wo mere bhai hain. Kayi log kehte hain ki mera comeback nahi ho raha. Aur phir kehte hain wo mere gaane likhte the. Aur phir kehte hain ki wo meri takdeer likh denge (Many claim to be my brothers. Many said I won’t make a comeback. They even claimed they wrote my songs and could shape my destiny).”

He didn’t hold back and added a poetic punchline: “To uspe ek sher sunaaon? Video banao, usko tag karna. Pichle saal meri taqdeer ne kaiyon ke guroor tode. Aur tujhe comeback karna padega l*** (Shall I share a couplet on that? Record this and tag him. Last year, my destiny shattered the pride of many. Now you’ll be forced to make a comeback).”*

As part of his much-anticipated tour, Honey Singh will perform across 10 cities in India. Following his Mumbai concert on February 22, he will head to Lucknow on February 28, Delhi on March 1, Indore on March 8, Pune on March 14, Ahmedabad on March 15, Bengaluru on March 22, Chandigarh on March 23, Jaipur on March 29, and will conclude the tour in Kolkata on April 5.
