The jallikattu at L. Abhishekapuram in Lalgudi taluk on Sunday left 18 persons injured. As many as 570 bulls were released during the event that lasted over seven hours with the number of participating tamers being 217.
Two among the injured were referred to the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Government Hospital in Tiruchi, while the other injured were treated as out-patients at the venue, said police sources.
