Ed Sheeran’s Bengaluru Busking Incident

A few weeks ago, Ed Sheeran performed at Bengaluru’s Church. He was midway into the performance of his popular track ‘Shape Of You’ when the Bengaluru Police halted the jamming session. The Bengaluru City Police stated that while they hold immense respect for artists and their contributions, public performances, especially those attracting large crowds, require prior authorization to ensure safety and order.

Hours after the incident, Ed Sheeran shared a note on Instagram, which read, “We had permission to busk btw, hence us playing in that exact spot, was planned out before, it wasn’t just us randomly turning up. All good though. See ya at the show tonight x”.
