Clarifying that the state government had not stopped any of the guarantee schemes, PWD minister Satish Jarkiholi on Saturday said that there might have been delay in transferring the money under ‘Gruha Laxmi’ scheme to the beneficiaries, but would be paid at a time in the coming days.
Speaking to press persons in Hubballi on Saturday, the minister said that release of funds from government getting delayed sometimes was natural. “Although there has been delay, release of funds has not been stopped”, he clarified.
Mr. Jarkiholi said that deputy chief minister and KPCC president D.K. Shivakumar was in the race for chief minister’s post from the beginning. “The party high command will take decision on changing chief minister and KPCC president. I am not an aspirant for the CM’s post. I will take a decision at suitable time”, he said.
He said that AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge had mentioned about changing the KPCC president. “It may not happen immediately. But will happen some day. We have to wait and watch to see when they will do it”, he said.
Regarding accusation of BJP led union government misusing Enforcement Directorate in the MUDA case, the minister said that it was difficult to say as there no proof and could not be proved. “But raising the question about 14 sites allotted to CM’s family is nothing but politics. Around 2,000 sites were allotted under similar guidelines. Why that issue is not being discussed?”, he asked.
