Rekha Gupta, the BJP’s debutante MLA from Shalimar Bagh, took oath as the fourth woman Chief Minister of Delhi on Thursday (February 20, 2025). Delhi’s Lieutenant-Governor Vinay Saxena administered the oath of office to her during a ceremony at the Ramlila Maidan, attended by several BJP and NDA leaders.

Along with Ms. Gupta, six other Ministers also took oath on the day, however, all Ministers are yet to be allocated their portfolios. Here is the full list of Ministers of the Delhi government:

  • Rekha Gupta — Chief Minister — The first time MLA from Shalimar Bagh took oath as Delhi’s ninth Chief Minister. She is also the fourth woman to hold the capital’s top post. Ms. Gupta is an active Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) member and a three-time councillor in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD).
  • Parvesh Verma — He is the son of former Delhi CM Sahib Singh Verma and won against AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal from the New Delhi constituency by over 4,000 votes in the 2025 Delhi Assembly polls. He is also a two-time Lok Sabha MP from the New Delhi constituency, having won in the 2014 and the 2019 general elections.
  • Ashish Sood — Ashish Sood, Janakpuri is the Punjabi face in the cabinet, he’s held several key posts in the organisational unit of Delhi BJP. A former councillor, he has also served Prabhari (In-charge) of Goa BJP unit and SahPrabhari (Co-Incharge) of Jammu & Kashmir BJP Unit. 
  • Manjinder Singh Sirsa — Majinder Singh Sirsa, MLA from Rajouri Garden has served as the President of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee. He was previously with the Akali Dal before joining the BJP in 2021. He is the Sikh face in the Delhi Cabinet.
  • Ravinder Indraj Singh — Mr. Singh is a Dalit leader from the Bawana Assembly Constituency. A DU graduate, his father Indraj Singh has also served as an MLA from Narela in Delhi for the BJP.. He won the Bawana Assembly constituency by over 31,000 votes against incumbent Jai Bhagwan of the AAP.
  • Kapil Mishra — A former Minister in the AAP government, he was sacked by the AAP in 2017 and joined the BJP in 2019 and was then appointed as the BJP’s vice-president of its Delhi unit. During the 2020 Northeast Delhi riots, he gave an ultimatum to protesters, asking them to leave the area or else the consequences wouldn’t be good. He won the Karawal Nagar constituency by over 23,000 votes
  • Pankaj Kumar Singh — Pankaj Kumar Singh is one of the two Purvanchal faces in the Cabinet, from Vikaspuri. He has served as a councillor previously and is a dentist by profession
