Late legendary actor Shashi Kapoor’s sons, Karan Kapoor and Kunal Kapoor, made a rare public appearance together at Aadar Jain and Alekha Advani’s Mehndi ceremony in Mumbai. The two brothers were spotted posing for the cameras at the NSCI Club in Worli, joined by Kunal’s son, Zahan Kapoor.
Karan Kapoor, dressed in an all-black ensemble, looked dapper, while Kunal opted for a beige kurta set with a brown shawl. Zahan, who is making his mark in Bollywood, looked elegant in a white kurta with a grey shawl. Their presence at the Kapoor family gathering delighted fans, as the two brothers are rarely seen together at Bollywood events.
This appearance comes just days after Karan and Kunal reunited at Randhir Kapoor’s 78th birthday celebration on February 15. Fans were thrilled to see Karan posing alongside Neetu Kapoor and Kunal, reminiscing about the Kapoor family’s legacy.
For the unversed, Karan and Kunal Kapoor are the sons of legendary actor Shashi Kapoor and Jennifer Kapoor. While Kunal has acted in multiple Bollywood films, Karan, once a popular actor and model, moved to the UK in 1988 and built a successful career as a photographer. He now runs his own photography company in London.
Karan Kapoor made his Bollywood debut in the 1978 film Junoon, directed by Shyam Benegal, alongside his father Shashi Kapoor, Shabana Azmi, and Naseeruddin Shah. He later appeared in films like Sultanat (1986) with Dharmendra and Sunny Deol, Loha, and Afsar. However, he soon transitioned to modeling, becoming a household name with the Bombay Dyeing campaign before ultimately pursuing photography.
In a 2016 interview with Rediff, Karan was asked if he would ever consider returning to Bollywood. He candidly replied, “I would love to. But I don’t know if anyone wants to see me!” His fans, however, continue to hold nostalgia for his era.
