Arjun Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar and Rakul Preet Singh are going all out to promote their upcoming rom-com, Mere Husband Ki Biwi. The movie brings a hilarious love triangle to life with Arjun playing Ankur Chaddha, a Delhi guy caught between his past and present. Bhumi steps into the role of Prabhleen Dhillon, his old flame, who suddenly reappears while Rakul plays Antara Mitra, the woman Ankur starts falling for. As expected, chaos, confusion and comedy follow which totally makes a recipe for an entertaining watch.
The trio is currently in Delhi to promote their film. During a recent media interaction, Bhumi gave fans a taste of her character’s vibe in a fun manner. With Arjun, Rakul and comedian Harsh Gujral by her side, she described Prabhleen with the iconic Hawa Hawaii song from 1987 film Mr. India.
Bhumi later shared a clip of this fun moment on her Instagram Stories with the caption: “She is the actual danger lanka :))) Prabhleen Dhillon.”
The promotions for Mere Husband Ki Biwi are packed with laughter and social media posts of the cast members are proof of it. A few days ago, Rakul shared a laugh-out-loud video with Arjun and it is pure entertainment.
In the clip, Arjun playfully refers to the famous Judaai movie joke, asking Rakul, his on-screen wife, if she would “sell” him for Rs 2 crores. Her initial reaction? A stunned “Pagal ho kya? (Are you crazy?).” But then she delivers the punchline: “5 crore se kam nahi loongi! (I won’t take less than Rs 5 crores).” Fans couldn’t stop laughing at their playful exchange.
Another moment had Arjun dropping the classic Bua Ki Ladki joke. In a reel shared by Rakul, her character confronts him about a girl he has been interacting with on social media.
“Kaun hai yeh ladki? (Who is this girl?),” she asks. Arjun responds, “Arrey yaar, kaisi shakki aurat ho tum? Bua ki ladki hai ye. Bachpan mein saath mein khela karte the hum. Chi yaar! (Oh come on, why are you so suspicious? She’s my aunt’s daughter. We used to play together as kids).” But the twist here is that that the account belongs to his wife who set up a fake profile to catch him in the act. This fun banter between the duo surely had us chuckling.
Mere Husband Ki Biwi is directed by Mudassar Aziz and produced by Jackky Bhagnani and Vashu Bhagnani under Pooja Entertainment. The film is set to hit theatres on February 21.
