The 32nd Hanteo Music Awards has come to an end, with many renowned names in the K-pop industry taking home the biggest honours in the two-day ceremony. Held on February 15 and 16 at the Jangchung Arena in Seoul, the awards show celebrated the incredible accomplishments of the artists in the last year. BTS’ leader Kim Namjoon, aka RM, the 13-membered boy group SEVENTEEN, and the quintet (G)I-DLE were among those who took home some of the prestigious honours on Day 2 of the event.
RM has bagged the Best Hip-Hop award with the release of his second solo album, Right Place, Wrong People. The K-pop star, who is currently serving in the military, dropped his album in May 2024. At the 32nd edition of the HMAs, his latest album was described as “a masterpiece that transcends cultural and genre boundaries.” Meanwhile, he was praised for being a “storyteller of this era who proves himself with music that infuses artistic sensibilities.”

The two-day awards ceremony was hosted by Sweet Home fame Jung Jinyoung and (G)I-DLE’s Miyeon. On Day 2 of the ceremony, 8TURN, Choi Ye Na, EVNNE, HYB (Huh Gak, Shin Yong Jae, Im Han Byul), Lee Seung Yoon, LIGHTSUM, NCT WISH, RIIZE, YOUNG POSSE and Young Tak enthraled the audience with their electrifying performances.
In this year’s HMAs, a total of four Daesangs or Grand Prizes were given. On Day 1, Aespa won the Best Artist award, while TXT took home the award for Best Performance. On Day 2, SEVENTEEN won the Best Album award, whereas (G)I-DLE bagged an award for Best Song of the Year.
