Kartik Aaryan recently announced his next film with Sreeleela by sharing a teaser clip. The yet-untitled film, directed by Anurag Basu, is all set to release in theatres this Diwali 2025. Filmmaker Karan Johar was mighty impressed with the first look, and he took to his Instagram to heap praises over the teaser of this upcoming romantic musical. Kartik reacted to KJo’s review of his film’s first look, and called him ‘love guru’.
Sharing the teaser clip of Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela’s upcoming film, Karan Johar wrote, “The beauty of love stories…the passion…the romance and the music! Super vibe!! All on point!!! Excited (hug face and red heart emojis).” Kartik Aaryan responded to his Instagram story, and wrote, “Thank you, Love Guru (smiling face with sunglasses emoji).” Check it out below!
The taser clip of Anurag Basu’s romantic musical shared by Kartik Aaryan shows the crowd cheering, while the actor plays guitar and performs on stage during a concert. He is seen singing ‘Tu Meri Zindagi Hai’, sporting a brooding lover’s look with a heavy beard and rugged long hair. The video also features a few glimpses of Sreeleela and Kartik’s romantic moments, giving fans a sneak-peek of the fresh pair’s sizzling chemistry. Although there is speculation that the film could be a successor to Aashiqui and Aashiqui 2, the makers have not confirmed its title yet.
Meanwhile, Karan Johar and Kartik Aaryan have mended their relationship after a fallout in 2021. The two had a rift when Kartik was dropped from Karan’s Dostana 2, which was set to star him alongside Janhvi Kapoor. Kartik’s exit made headlines, sparking rumours that Karan was upset over Kartik’s alleged “unprofessional” behaviour. However, the matter has since been resolved as Kartik and Karan are now collaborating on ‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’.
