On February 14, Jennie took to Instagram, teasing fans with a short clip that immediately sent them into a frenzy. The video revealed the release of a brand-new single from her highly anticipated album.
Jennie announced that she is teaming up with the Grammy-winning American rapper Doechii for a song titled EXTRAL. Through a simple text-based video, the BLACKPINK member shared that the song will be out on music platforms on February 21 at 2 PM KST (10:30 AM IST). Jennie’s collaboration with the rising rap sensation, who has gone viral for tracks like Yucky Blucky Fruitcake, What It Is (Block Boy), and Denial Is a River, has left buzzing with excitement.
On the captionless post, many online users have expressed that they never expected a collab between Jennie and Doechii, while others appreciated that the K-pop idol decided to work with the American rapper even before she got a Grammy.

Doechii is one of several international artists collaborating with Jennie on her upcoming album, Ruby. Other featured artists include Dua Lipa, Childish Gambino, Dominic Fike, FKJ, and Kali Uchis. The 15-track album will explore various genres and includes her hit single Mantra, released in October 2024. Ruby is set to drop on March 7, 2025.
On January 31, the K-pop star dropped the single Love Hangover, featuring Dominic Fike, with Riverdale’s Charles Melton starring in the music video. The song immediately made its debut on the Billboard charts.
In other news, BLACKPINK’s Jennie is set to be honoured by Billboard for her phenomenal solo career. She is set to receive the Global Force Award at the 2025 Billboard Women in Music Awards on March 29. The ceremony will take place at the YouTube Theatre, Hollywood Park in Inglewood, Los Angeles.
