The controversy surrounding YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia, popularly known as ‘Beer Biceps,’ continues to escalate. Multiple complaints have been filed against him and comedian Samay Raina, on whose show he made the contentious remark that sparked widespread outrage. While several celebrities have condemned them, others argue that the issue is being blown out of proportion. Rakhi Sawant recently weighed in on the matter, questioning why Udit Narayan’s controversy received little attention while this particular show is being singled out.

Speaking to Etimes, Rakhi Sawant stated, “Udit Narayan kissed a female fan on the lips, but no one said anything about it. We see so many rape cases in our country, yet no one raises their voice. Women are being raped and molested, they are not safe, but still, no one shows outrage. No one has spoken against Udit Narayan for kissing his female fans.” Rakhi was referring to a recent incident when Udit Narayan was receiving a lot of negative feedback online after a video of him kissing a female fan at a live event went viral. The videos show the singer performing while several female fans gather around the stage for selfies. Following the images, the singer kissed them on the lips, causing fury on social media.

She also remarked that Samay is not the first person to use abusive language and that many people on other shows openly discuss sex. Rakhi added, “Why is only one show being targeted? If they want to save this country, then all such vulgar shows should be shut down.” Rakhi also stated, “One person made a mistake, but why target everyone else? Ranveer said something wrong, and I agree it was inappropriate, but why only attack Samay Raina? If you’re banning this show, then all OTT platforms should be shut down too. This is unfair.”

Meanwhile, reportedly, the National Commission for Women (NCW) has taken note of the situation and summoned Ranveer Allahbadia, Samay Raina, Apoorva Makhija, Jaspreet Singh, Ashish Chanchlani, and producers Tushar Poojari and Saurabh Bothra to appear before them on February 17 in New Delhi. Following the controversy, YouTube India has removed the episode containing the contentious statement.
