Sanam Teri Kasam, a 2016 romantic drama featuring Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane, has been re-released and is now a hit, surpassing its budget with Rs 18.50 crore in four days.

Sanam Teri Kasam originally released in 2016.

Who says old flames don’t burn bright? Sanam Teri Kasam is back in theatres, and the audiences are head-over-heels in love once again. This 2016 cult romantic drama featuring Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane has proven that good ol’ heartbreaks and swoon-worthy melodies never go out of style.

The film was originally released in 2016 and was a box office dud at that time with just Rs 9.11 crore collection. It was made on a budget of Rs 14 crore. However, the re-release is proving to be a hit as in its first weekend itself, the film has surpassed its budget.

Everyone braced for Sanam Teri Kasam to take a Monday dip at the box office, but love had other plans! Sure, there was a slight drop, but the numbers still looked fabulous. As per Sacnilk, the film raked in a solid Rs 3-3.25 crore on Day 4, bringing its total haul to an impressive Rs 18.50 crore.

Sanam Teri Kasam pulled off something unexpected! Its Monday collection alone outshined the total box office earnings of recent releases like Sky Force, Badass Ravi Kumar, and Loveyapa.

On Day 18, Sky Force soared with Rs 45 lakh, pushing its total collection to a solid Rs. 110.25 crore. Meanwhile, Badass Ravi Kumar and Loveyapa kept things steady, bringing in Rs 60 lakh each on their fourth day.

It looks like Sanam Teri Kasam will collect Rs 25 crore by the end of the week one. After that, it will face a tough competition with Chhaava from February 14.

Sanam Teri Kasam is a romantic drama film written and directed by Radhika Rao-Vinay Sapru. Produced by Deepak Mukut, the film stars Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane in their Hindi film debut, with Anurag Sinha, Manish Chaudhari, Murli Sharma and Sudesh Berry. The film is a modern rendition of the legends of Shiva-Sati and the novel Love Story by Eric Segal.
