Andhra Pradesh Minister for Home Vangalapudi Anitha on Monday (February 10) has responded strongly to a security breach at the Kasturba Gandhi Girls’ residential hostel in Musunuru, Kavali town, Nellore district, where an unidentified intruder scaled the compound wall and entered the students’ dormitories at midnight on Sunday.

In response to the incident, the Home Minister spoke over the phone with Kavali DSP Sridhar, directing law enforcement to apprehend the suspect immediately. She also instructed officials to enhance security measures around the school and ensure 24/7 surveillance to prevent such occurrences in the future.

The DSP informed the Minister that a special police picket had already been deployed to strengthen security at the school. Additionally, the Minister reassured parents not to panic, emphasizing that the government is taking all necessary steps to safeguard the students.

Authorities are currently investigating the matter, and further security reinforcements are expected at the premises.
