Harshvardhan Rane has been basking under the success of Sanam Teri Kasam as the film re-releases. John Abraham also congratulated Harshvardhan Rane and shared a sweet note for him. The film co starring Mawra Hocane has been drawing impressive crowds.
Taking to his Instagram stories, John shared the film poster and wrote, “Finally….@harshvardhanrane you have got your due.” Earlier, the actor also shared a video in which he is seen arriving at a theatre where a large crowd of fans had gathered to watch the film. The actor humbly greeted them, shook hands, and even interacted with them, making the moment even more special. Fans especially female fans cheered as they saw him. Directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, the film opened with a solid Rs 4 crore on Friday. Continuing its momentum, it collected Rs 5 crore on Saturday, bringing its total earnings from the re-release to Rs 9 crore in just two days. This is nearly half of what it earned in its entire original run, making it one of the biggest Bollywood re-releases. The film is currently competing with Badass Ravi Kumar and Loveyapa in theatres.
The film has dominated Hindi markets for the second consecutive day, even surpassing its original box office performance. When it first released in 2016, Sanam Teri Kasam earned Rs 8 crore in its lifetime run. However, the re-release has already exceeded that mark within just two days, thanks to its massive ticket sales, which reached approximately 3 lakh on the opening day alone.
Sanam Teri Kasam, which didn’t perform well in its original run, has made a strong comeback with its re-release on February 7. Despite other re-releases, it was the top movie on Friday.
Meanwhile, Sanam Teri Kasam 2 is also in the pipeline, and the film was announced a few weeks ago. While Harshvardhan is a part of the film, the female lead is not yet announced.
