Hina Khan has been an inspiration in her battle against stage 3 breast cancer, displaying immense strength and courage. While many have extended their support and prayers for her well-being, her Griha Laxmi co-star Dibyendu Bhattacharya feels fortunate to have worked with her. He shared how Hina maintained a positive presence on set, continuing to work despite her health struggles.

Dibyendu praised Hina’s professionalism and dedication, saying, “It’s a blessing to have a friend and co-actor like her. The way she worked on this show—giving 100 per cent while putting aside everything happening in her life—was truly remarkable,” he told Hindustan Times, reflecting on his experience working with her.

Despite battling health issues, Hina Khan remained dedicated to her work and did not let her condition affect the shooting schedule. Whether working late into the night or being on set early in the morning, she never let her diagnosis interfere with her craft.

“Even when she was feeling unwell, she never showed it on her face. She continued working until 2–3 a.m. without complaint. That’s a big deal,” Dibyendu shared.

After publicly revealing her cancer diagnosis in June 2024, Hina has been open about different stages of her health journey. Dibyendu recalled that she was diagnosed while filming but kept it private.

“We had no idea during the shoot. She never disclosed anything, even if she had already been diagnosed. It was only after she made the announcement that I realized she had been going through this while filming. She prioritized her work over her illness, which is truly commendable,” he said.

“For me, working on this project was a truly memorable experience. I will always treasure it,” he added.

Speaking at an event organised by the Nargis Dutt Foundation on World Cancer Day 2025, Hina Khan became emotional as she opened up about her struggles, treatment, and the importance of mental health. She broke down in tears while discussing the challenges faced by cancer patients, shedding light on the resilience required to fight the disease.
